A graduate of Malaysia Multimedia University, Sin Chen Yeong was the pupil of Mr. Chia Cheng Wee of Messrs. Chia & Lee, Malacca before being called to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor in 2015. Thereafter, he practised as Legal Assistant in Messrs. Philip Chua & Co. (Muar & Malacca), dealing mostly in the matters of Conveyancing, Debt Recovery, Bankruptcy, Corporate, and General Litigation.
In January 2017, he founded Messrs. CHENYEONG in Melaka, Malaysia. Messrs. CHENYEONG is to be merged with S.Y. Lim & Partners in January 2024 to form Sin & Lim.
In May 2019, he obtained Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) Certificate in Sports Arbitration and was later empaneled as Panelist with the Asian Sports Tribunal at AIAC in January 2024.
In August 2020, Chen Yeong was appointed the Legal Advisor and Committee Member of Malacca Central Karate Association.
In January 2021, he was accredited as Mediator by UK's Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and was empaneled as Mediator at AIAC in the same year.
In October 2022, Chen Yeong was appointed the Legal Advisor and Committee Member of Malacca State Judo Association.
In December 2023, he has been granted full registration by the Supreme Court of Singapore and has been registered as foreign lawyer of Singapore International Commercial Court.
An ardent believer in Human Rights and the accessibility of justice for the masses, Chen Yeong take up pro bono cases from time to time. Joined Yayasan Bantuan Guaman Kebangsaan (National Legal Aid Foundation) as a volunteer lawyer in 2016 to further the cause of providing legal services to the people who are unable to afford a lawyer. He is appointed as Trainer for Yayasan Bantuan Guaman Kebangsaan (National Legal Aid Foundation) in August 2024.
